Just a house owner has 3 tonne fire wood

A house owner with land has 5 tonne fire wood..

Kathiripulam can be said to have 2000 houses..

It has 10,000 tonne fire wood…

1 Lorry can take 10 tonne

So one village has 1000 lorry i.e 10,000 tonne fire wood.

Apart from this one village has
3,000 tonne paper wood
1000 tonne furniture wood

Is there a buyer for this cheap good quality wood….any where in India??

Centre for Rural Development and Research-CRDR and JIPMER Hospital-Puducherry, jointly organised Mega medical camp at Avarikkadu village, near Talainayiru for the people of Gaja Cyclone affected areas..40 Doctors from 6 various departments attended, more than 500 patients got benefited from this camp…Thanks to JIPMER team and lots of friends who worked actively in the field for several days to reach out for more beneficiaries for this camp through various means @Inamul

Special thanks to Dr.Mahalakshmi, Ms.Junaitha, Er.Pravin and his students from PKIET, Karaikal, Headmaster of Avarikadu Aided school.

Tamil Nadu is set to hit by another cyclonic storm, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned. This would be the second storm to hit the southern state of India within a period of 30 days.

Last month, around 12 districts of Tamil Nadu were severely hit by cyclone Gaja that claimed lives of as many as 46 people apart from causing widespread damage to property and livestock.

IMD, in a statement, said that a well marked low pressure has been formed over southeast Bay of Bengal. “It is likely to concentrate into a depression during next 24 hours and intensify further into a deep depression during subsequent 24 hours. It is very likely to move towards south Andhra Pradesh and adjoining north Tamil Nadu coasts during next 72 hours,” the weather department has added.

IMD has also issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in south coastal Andhra Pradesh and north Tamil Nadu.

“Rainfall at most places with heavy to very heavy falls at isolated places is very likely on 15th & 16th Dec 2018,” IMD said.

The students of Motilal Nehru Govt Polytechnic, Puducherry from instrumentation n electrical disciplines have completed assembling of 1000 LED lamps (Improvised TNFS model which is cheaper and long lasting) and handed over them for distribution to the villages which are still out of power in Gaja cyclone affected villages. Kannaiyan a Labour aged 78, was living in this hut…during Gaja Cyclone his slum was shattered..he with his wife was living in this tarpaulin tent for 26 days after the cyclone…with the help of Sirpi Prabhu, we construct a hut for Kannaiyan in Palliyamulai village, near Talainayiru, Nagapattinam…thanks to Prabhu Sirpi, Mayaraj, Maya Vedhan , Siva Anand, Ganesh and all our team mates…hopefully we will be able to construct 50 huts in coming days…preferably to Old age People, widows and Disabled people…

The schools n community halls that may support people in case of water logging may be prepared by
1. Cleaning their water tanks n storing drinking water
2. Cooking fuel, vessels n groceries
3. Sources of light
4. Mosquito coils/nets pooled from residents
5. Mats n blankets pooled from residents

Each village may have a nodal person/team to ensure this preparation and to mobilize resources through the govt/voluntary/support channels.
